Home of the Community-Wide Tracking of Efficiency and Effectiveness Working team
Goals of the group:
- (Science) Develop a framework and techniques for assessment and tracking of the scientific progress in the field of Space Weather.
- (Applied Sciences) Develop a framework for generating and tracking AULs.
- (Science and Applied Sciences) Develop a framework for application of metrics to measure performance/progress and construct a library of metric and validation techniques.
We are the Community-Wide Tracking of Efficiency and Effectiveness Working team, which is a part of COSPAR ISWAT. Our group started as the Assessment of Understanding and Quantifying Progress Toward Science Understanding and Operational Readiness working team. This was a subgroup of the International Forum for Space Weather Capabilities Assessment. Our group is tasked with generating community drive metrics on specific Heliophysics applications which affect society and our technology. We are focused on tracking the progress of our field, and developing frameworks for tracking these metrics and our progress towards meeting them as well as constructing a reference library of these metrics and references for validation and statistical techniques. In order to do this, we need the community's help to find all the best references! Please fill out the forms on the tracking progress page. Thanks in advance and let us know if you have suggestions on how to improve this site.
